  • A $365 hook-up fee also applies and includes a water meter.
  • Reconnect Fee after water shut off $100.
  • Monthly fees are $6 for Well #2 Construction (January 2013), $7.00 per thousand gallons with a minimum rate of $21.00/3,000 gallons per month for Water Use (Spring 2016), MN Department of Health yearly Water Connection Fee $9.72 (March 2020)

Frozen Water Issues

With the new water meters you have the ability to sign up online for a waterscope account which will alert you if your meter is in an area with temperatures low enough to potentially cause your pipes to freeze. If you receive a low temperature email notice you should check to make sure a door or window is not open allowing the cold in.  If that is not the case and the temperature is low you can leave a faucet running slightly and preferably run a garden hose outside away from your house foundation to dispose of this water. Be careful not to run this water on your neighbor. If you run the water down the drain this could cause your sewer line to freeze up and with the extra flow from multiple homes could also create a major capacity problem at the Rushford City Waste Treatment plant.  Another option is to wrap heat tape around your pipes and if possible insulate around the meter to help keep it from freezing.
